Aegis Living opens new senior living community in Bellevue

The heart of Bellevue now boasts a new senior living community that is perfectly suited to the needs and desires for residents of the Eastside. Aegis Living, a national leader in senior, assisted living and memory care communities, recently opened its 34th community to a crowd of hundreds, as new and prospective residents and families came to celebrate the grand opening event. Guests met Naomi Judd, enjoyed food by Tom Douglas and music by Primo Basso.

The new Aegis of Bellevue is located at 148 - 102nd Ave SE in the heart of Old Bellevue just off Main Street. The newly constructed community has been built from the ground up to accommodate seniors with the best of everything in senior housing. From its exclusive Living 4 Life® program to the special details in the construction this newest community leaves nothing behind. It is the 12th Aegis community in the Puget Sound region.

According to Dwayne J. Clark, Chairman and CEO of Aegis Living, "We are really proud of our newest community. It really combines the best of all our communities with the addition of some features that we don't have anywhere else like our new exclusive Living 4 Life program. Residents are finding this location to be just what they are looking for."

Aegis Living's innovative wellness program, Living 4 Life helps residents maintain a long, healthy and active life.  The program is a collaborative effort between the University of Washington School of Medicine, Bastyr University, Dakim and Technogym. The best minds in each field offer expertise to maximize wellness for all residents. It combines elements of mind, body, spirit and community including massage therapy and a state of the art fitness center. Their longevity program, led by UW School of Medicine senior faculty member, Dr. Claudia Finkelstein with classes on healthy aging, nutrition and exercise. Memory Care residents benefit from the Life Enhancing Light Therapy program that may diminish the affects of depression and dementia.

Aegis of Bellevue is a new building complete with outstanding features, services and amenities to make it a warm and inviting community.  The three floors host a combination of common areas such as a bistro, library, outdoor gathering places and full fitness center with Technogym equipment as well as apartments.  There are several apartment plans to choose.

Assisted Living: There are 68 assisted living spacious and bright senior apartments available in multiple floor plans. Each apartment is designed to support those who need a little help with assisted living services and are easily accessible for someone using a wheelchair or walker.

Memory Care: Aegis of Bellevue offers 18 studio apartments in its Life's Neighborhood for individuals living with Alzheimer's or other dementia. These apartments are designed to make life easy to navigate -- reducing anxiety and frustration.
