Axolotl Corp., the nationwide leader in health information exchange
(HIE) services and solutions, celebrates fifteen successful years of
software development and HIE implementation. Since its founding in 1995,
Axolotl has been providing advanced Clinical Networking™ solutions to
meet the diverse and changing needs of physicians, hospitals, regional
health information organizations (RHIOs) and statewide HIEs to achieve
interoperability across entire medical trading areas.
“They are clearly connecting many of the most successful HIEs in the
market with a wide range of solutions, adapting to the broad range of
organizations, business models, technology environments and clinical
specialties.”
“Axolotl was doing Health Information Exchange before there was even a
name for it,” said John Moore, Managing Partner, Chilmark Research.
“They are clearly connecting many of the most successful HIEs in the
market with a wide range of solutions, adapting to the broad range of
organizations, business models, technology environments and clinical
specialties.”
This year marks significant accomplishments for Axolotl, including full
certification for Elysium 9 as a CCHIT Certified® 2008 Ambulatory
Electronic Health Record (EHR); software upgrades to Axolotl’s nearly
30,000 licensed physicians and further development and partnerships on
Axolotl’s Elysium Open Access, a standards-based service-oriented
architecture (SOA) platform, which enables third-party applications to
be easily integrated into the HIE via exposed web services.
Additionally, Axolotl completed a strategic partnership with Dell Perot
Systems to resell the Elysium Exchange suite of solutions to their
extensive hospital customer base.
“We are extremely proud of this significant milestone,” said Glenn Keet,
President of Axolotl. “As the company’s first employee, I have had an
opportunity to witness our growth, fueled by our subject matter
expertise and strong customer relationships. We look forward to
continuing to grow our company and supporting our customers to meet
‘meaningful use’ requirements with our first-class HIE solutions.”
