- MEDai's Predictive Analytics and Business Intelligence Tools to Help CHSA Improve Care Management Quality and Employer Reporting

Community Health Solutions of America, LLC (CHS) of St. Petersburg, FL, will help its healthcare clients better manage their patient populations and track their clinical and financial objectives with quality-focused tools from MEDai, an Elsevier company and a leading provider of predictive analytic solutions.

CHS has signed a multi-year contract to utilize MEDai's Risk Navigator solutions for its care management and employer reporting needs. CHS is responsible for providing innovative and comprehensive medical care management to a diverse client base, including commercial carriers, government sponsored health plans and large self-funded groups.

"We are a clinically-focused company. Our patients, and their well-being, are always at the forefront of the decisions we make every day. In looking for ways to improve the health of our members, we found MEDai. This system will allow us to identify trends in utilization, proactively identify patients that would benefit from care management or disease management, and to provide this care in the most cost-effective method possible," said Dr. Barbara Freeman, Chief Medical Officer for CHS.

For more than a decade, MEDai's predictive modeling suite has accurately forecasted prospective high-risk patients to improve patients' health and quality of care while controlling cost. Risk Navigator Clinical is built to fit the clinical workflow by wrapping business intelligence around a member-centric database providing evidence-based medicine guideline compliance information and cost and utilization forecasts. Clients can also leverage MEDai's motivation index to determine the level of member engagement most appropriate based on the members' motivation to self manage their conditions.

Risk Navigator Financial, MEDai's underwriting and actuarial module, bridges the gap between clinical and financial objectives, providing a consistent, strategic approach to managing medical and revenue enhancement opportunities and employer reporting.

"CHS and MEDai have partnered to promote preventive care, facilitate early identification of risk and enhance employer reporting for the groups CHS serves," said Swati Abbott, President and CEO of MEDai. "MEDai's robust analytics and healthcare expertise will ensure that CHS is allocating resources effectively and efficiently ultimately getting the right preventative care to the right members at the right time."
