Leading UK based public health services organization to use Kofax software

Kofax plc (LSE:KFX), the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced that it will provide a leading UK based public health services organization with an expanded capture solution. The value of the contract to Kofax, including maintenance and professional services, is approximately $2.7 million.

“Organizations can reduce administrative and regulatory compliance costs by transforming these documents into digital images and automatically extracting their business critical data, thus providing a compelling, hard dollar return on investment.”

The organization, an existing customer, will use additional Kofax software to capture, extract and perfect data from hundreds of millions of medical forms and related documents received annually. The resulting data will then be exported to the organization’s mainstream data processing applications for adjudication and payment.

“Health services organizations face an urgent need to streamline their administrative operations while improving customer service. Health care remains a very paper intensive industry, with nearly 90 percent of patient related and claims information still being paper based,” said Alan Kerr, Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Kofax. “Organizations can reduce administrative and regulatory compliance costs by transforming these documents into digital images and automatically extracting their business critical data, thus providing a compelling, hard dollar return on investment.”
