Napp introduces new alcohol-free hand sanitizer

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Soft & Shield Hand Sanitizer and Moisturizer is a new alcohol-free hand sanitizer that contains ingredients that soften, smooth and moisturize the skin. As an added benefit, the Soft & Shield Hand Sanitizer and Moisturizer forms an invisible protective barrier that covers the outer layer of the skin to protect for up to four hours against harmful germs and bacteria.

Sheldon Wexler, Napp's president, stated: "We are excited to bring this novel product to market. Given the recent news stories regarding some of the dangers presented by alcohol-based hand sanitizers specifically related to ingestion and flammability, we believe that Soft & Shield Hand Sanitizer and Moisturizer is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the explosive demand for alcohol-free hand sanitizers. To meet this exciting consumer demand, we have made Soft & Shield available for order now on our e-commerce site, http://www.softandshield.com. We have also begun a marketing campaign with New York-based Top Shelf Enterprises to bring Soft & Shield to national distribution through grocery, drug, health & beauty, mass merchandiser and private label opportunities."

Soft & Shield is an antibacterial hand sanitizer as well as a waterless hand sanitizer that is targeted at individuals and institutions. Typically these are areas where alcohol-based hand sanitizers are not a desirable option due to concerns over its inherent flammability and the serious dangers it poses to both adults and children alike if ingested.

Soft & Shield contains Benzalkonium Chloride, an effective compound used in hospitals for decades for its germ-fighting properties. Soft & Shield contains a patent pending delivery system developed by Bioderm Technologies that leaves this germ fighting compound at the upper most layer of the skin.
