Dehaier Medical Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: DHRM), an emerging leader in the development, assembly, marketing and sale of medical products in China, said today that it has become the exclusive China distributor of Welch Allyn's patient monitors.

Welch Allyn's two patient monitors, the Propaq(R)CS and the Atlas(TM), are used for continuous bedside monitoring of vital signs such as ECG, NIBP, temperature, respiratory functions, blood pressure and other indications.

In addition, Dehaier is also the distributor of Welch Allyn's eye, ears, nose and throat products including otoscopes, ophthalmoscopes and laryngoscopes.

Mr. Chen Ping, Dehaier's Chief Executive Officer, said, "One of Dehaier's key strategies for continued revenue growth in our medical device product line is to continue to penetrate markets by introducing advanced new product offerings. This agreement with Welch Allyn is an important opportunity that provides us with access to the market segment for foreign-made patient monitors, which we estimate to be about $30 million per year. Dehaier is currently a provider of Chinese-made patient monitoring devices, a growing market that is estimated to exceed $300 million per year."

"This agreement enables us to strongly supplement our product lines to meet different demands from hospitals, medical centers and doctors. It is further evidence of our strong industry reputation that a leading medical manufacturer like Welch Allyn would entrust Dehaier with their China sales and distribution," Ping said.
