Cytori's first StemSource Cell Bank sold in the U.S.

Cytori Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CYTX) has sold its first StemSource® Cell Bank in the United States. The StemSource® Cell Bank is a suite of products that offers patients a way to store their own adipose tissue, or the stem and regenerative cells naturally occurring within their own adipose tissue, in an automated, affordable and safe manner. This adipose tissue bank is expected to be installed during the next few months, making it the fourth StemSource® Cell Bank to be installed worldwide and the first in the United States.

A StemSource® Cell Bank sale includes a proprietary processing system and other related equipment, custom operating software, standard operating procedures and protocols (SOPs), installation and training. The StemSource® Cell Bank facilitates the preparation and storage of stem and regenerative cells from fat tissue using methods that have been optimized by Cytori, creating significant economic and process efficiencies.
