Wyse Technology, the inventor and global leader in cloud client computing, today announced its partnership and continued success with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services.
“We also saw LLS as the perfect fit to utilize the benefits of our cloud client solutions to replace their out-dated IT infrastructure, and we look forward to the continued partnership.”
"Wyse has a special connection with LLS and we've recognized and continue to recognize the importance of their cause with our employee volunteer contributions and fundraising efforts," said Maryam Alexandrian, Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales and Channels at Wyse. "We also saw LLS as the perfect fit to utilize the benefits of our cloud client solutions to replace their out-dated IT infrastructure, and we look forward to the continued partnership."
LLS has upgraded all of their older thin clients to a solution based on Wyse's new thin client platform. A Wyse device is now on most every desktop throughout over 90 field offices in North America. LLS is running Citrix XenApp out of their corporate office in White Plains, NY and leveraging Citrix's PNAgent technology to automatically provide Citrix apps to the Wyse clients. LLS is also leveraging Wyse Device Manager software to manage application updates, imaging, tech support, and more.
"We recently honored Wyse at a dinner to thank them for the contributions they have made to our organization, not only in providing us with such a technologically sophisticated solution," according Jeff Como, CIO at LLS. "We also wanted to recognize Wyse for all the assistance they've provided LLS with respect to our larger technical strategic plans."
Recently, Wyse participated in LLS's Team in Training (TNT) program and raised thousands of dollars to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society continue their fight against cancer. Wyse employees successfully completed a 40k (25 mile) bike ride for TNT in Norwalk, Connecticut.
