Western Dental Services, Inc., California's neighborhood dentist and one of the nation's leading dental health maintenance organizations, is opening a combined family dentistry, specialty, cosmetic, and orthodontics office in Porterville, Calif., on August 13, 2010.  The office will provide a full range of family dentistry services, specialty care, and cosmetic dentistry, including white fillings, veneers, crowns, dental implants, ZOOM!® whitening, oral surgery, periodontics, pedodontics, and  complete orthodontic services by certified specialists and experienced providers.

A grand opening celebration will be held the following day, on Saturday, August 14th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to introduce the facility and staff to local residents.  Festivities will include a live radio remote by KESQ Radio, 97.1 FM, with CDs, T-shirts, and other giveaways from the radio station, as well as free food and beverages and a bounce house and other amusements for children.

The new office, located at 1213 W. Henderson Avenue in Porterville (the cross street is N. Prospect Street), will be open evenings and Saturdays and will provide quality dental and orthodontic care at affordable prices.  It will serve all residents living in and around the Porterville area.

Western Dental is well known for extending credit to its patients with convenient installments at zero interest to make quality dental and orthodontics care affordable, even if the patient's credit isn't perfect.  Western Dental also is a participating provider for most major dental insurers and welcomes Denti-Cal.

Office hours for the new family dentistry office (phone: 800-466-5555) will be Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Dr. Avinash is the managing dentist and Marisa Garcia is serving as office manager.

The orthodontics office will provide a full range of services to diagnose and correct orthodontic problems such as crooked and crowded teeth, overbites and tooth spacing and jaw protrusions.  Braces, retainers and other such appliances are among the measures most commonly used to treat such problems. Western Dental's ortho team offers both traditional braces and state-of-the-art invisible aligners (Invisalign®).

Office hours for the new orthodontics office (Phone: 800-466-5555) will be the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Fridays of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the 3rd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Managing the orthodontics office will be Dr. George Clark.  The office manager will be Gina Balesteros.

Like all Western Dental offices, the new combined family dentistry and orthodontics facility will employ Western Dental's state-of-the-art Quality Assurance Management System (QAMS) for its patients.  The system electronically monitors patient care to ensure that patients receive quality care each and every time they come in to the office.

"We are very pleased to be opening a combined family dentistry and orthodontics office to serve the residents of Porterville," said Samuel H. Gruenbaum, president and chief executive officer of Western Dental Services.  "This is a special occasion for us not only because we are opening our first dental and orthodontics treatment center in Porterville, but also because it marks our expansion throughout Tulare County."

"We are proud to be part of the growing business community and to be a new neighbor to the residents there," Gruenbaum added.  "The full range of general dentistry and orthodontic services we provide, coupled with our office's central location and convenient evening and weekend hours, should be especially helpful to the many working moms and dads living there, as well as the ever increasing number of families moving into the Porterville area."
