(Charlotte, NC). Atrium Medical was also awarded a three-year dual-source surgical mesh agreement for Premier's Accelerated Supply Chain Endeavor (ASCEND™) program member-participants. ASCEND assists Premier alliance member hospitals in ongoing efforts to control and reduce costs through simplified purchasing processes, appropriate clinical utilization and specially negotiated contracts. Both contracts are effective October 1, 2010.
Members of the Premier healthcare alliance will have access to specially negotiated pricing and terms for Atrium's surgical mesh products, including Atrium's first-to-market Bioabsorbable Omega 3 Fatty Acid (O3FA) coated surgical mesh, C-QUR™. The agreement also includes C-QUR™ V-Patch, C-QUR Lite™, Prolite™ and Prolite Ultra™ Polypropylene meshes, ProLoop™ and SFP mesh plug products.
