Abiomed to provide updates on USpella registry, Impella case reviews at CRF annual TCT meeting

Abiomed Inc. (NASDAQ: ABMD), a leading provider of breakthrough heart support technologies, today announced its schedule of events at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation's (CRF) annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) scientific meeting, scheduled from September 21 - 25, at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

“Hemodynamic Support for Shock: Choosing Between IABP, Impella and Tandem Heart”

This year, Abiomed is hosting a three-part breakfast series, featuring updates to the USpella registry, Impella case reviews, and real-world applications.

The update to the USpella registry, a U.S. multicenter observational registry of approximately 351 Impella 2.5 patients, will be presented by William O'Neill, M.D., University of Miami, at the Abiomed breakfast session on Thursday, September 23, and also presented later that day by Brijeshwar Maini, M.D., Pinnacle Health and Vascular Institute, during TCT Session III: Optimizing Primary PCI for STEMI in the Cath Lab.

See below for the full schedule of TCT presentations and the Abiomed three-part breakfast series. All breakfast sessions will begin with breakfast from 6:30 - 7:00 a.m. The Impella presentations will begin at 7:00 a.m. for each session.

Abiomed will conduct daily booth demonstrations at Abiomed booth #1403 and hands-on simulations of its heart recovery platforms. The company anticipates live cases utilizing Impella to be broadcast from the participating live case sites in the main arena, coronary theater and structural heart theater in the Washington Convention Center. Abiomed also anticipates panel discussions on the Impella technology throughout the week.
