Hitachi Medical Systems America (HMSA) is pleased to announce that they have signed an agreement with Horizon Medical Services Ltd., in Mississauga, Ontario to be their exclusive MRI and CT sales and service representative in Canada.

“The addition of the Hitachi MRI and CT Product Lines to Horizon's product portfolio makes us a significant alternative supplier of these modalities to the Canadian Healthcare marketplace.”

HMSA President and CEO, Don Broomfield, states, "This agreement will enable HMSA to continue to expand our North and South American distribution organization. Horizon's extensive coverage across Canada and excellent service reputation, in addition to their 29 years of experience in X-ray and CT made them a logical choice to represent HMSA." Horizon will initially market Hitachi's 1.5T Echelon system, 1.2T high field Oasis Open system and the 64 slice Scenaria CT system, which will be introduced at the upcoming RSNA meeting in Chicago."

According to Larry Riley, Horizon's President and CEO, "The addition of the Hitachi MRI and CT Product Lines to Horizon's product portfolio makes us a significant alternative supplier of these modalities to the Canadian Healthcare marketplace." Doug Anderson, Horizon's Vice President of Sales & Marketing adds, "We are particularly pleased to represent a world-class organization such as Hitachi and their unique products, such as the Oasis High Field Open MRI. These additions further prove our commitment to continuing to bring unique products to Healthcare organizations here in Canada."
