Defibtech, LLC, a leading innovator in the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) market, has been named as a 2010 Marcum Tech Top 40 winner, a celebration of the 40 fastest growing companies in Connecticut, and was honored on October 28, 2010 at the Tech Top 40 awards program at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, Conn. This is the fourth year that Defibtech has been named as one of the fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut. Selection was based on the percentage revenue growth during the four year period from 2006-2009.

"We are committed to developing innovative technologies to meet the needs of the AED market," said Glenn W. Laub, M.D., chief executive officer of Defibtech. "Our latest product, the Lifeline View™, is the most user-friendly AED available today and will play a major role in sustaining our rapid growth."

Defibtech has shipped more than 100,000 Lifeline AED units to over 30 countries in 16 different languages. The new Lifeline View AED is the newest addition to Defibtech's family of products and it is the first and only AED on the market with a full-color, full-motion video display with voice prompts that provides step-by-step directions for performing CPR, rescue breathing and external defibrillation. It makes it easy for anyone—from first responders to untrained bystanders—to respond confidently and appropriately during an emergency.
