Genpact to implement process optimization programs for Manipal Health Enterprises

Genpact Limited (NYSE: G), a global leader in business process and technology management, today announced a five-year contract with Manipal Health Enterprises Pvt. Limited (MHE), one of the largest tertiary care hospital chains in India. Genpact will implement process optimization programs for MHE's 11 hospitals across India by leveraging its proprietary Smart Enterprise Processes (SEPSM) methodology.

Under this engagement, Genpact will help MHE improve its business outcomes by driving efficiencies in each hospital's sourcing, supply chain management, material handling and utilization to provide significant cost deflation and positively impact patient care and streamline patient flow.

This unique engagement, advised by TPI (a leading global sourcing advisory firm), is based on a business-outcome model and will deliver a measurable bottom line impact for MHE by driving cost efficiencies through process optimization and consolidation. Genpact has successfully implemented SEP for a number of hospitals in the U.S. resulting in the optimization of 140 core processes in less than one year. Genpact has also helped New Delhi-based Lok Nayak Hospital and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to optimize their emergency room services.
