Modern Healthcare: CMS Sets New Requirements Regarding SHIP Grants
The CMS has announced new requirements for state health insurance assistance program, or SHIP, grants to help make Medicare beneficiaries aware about certain provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. These provisions relate to topics such as new Medicare prevention and wellness benefits, anti-fraud initiatives — and how beneficiaries can help with detection and reporting—and annual election period changes for 2011 (Zigmond, 12/17).
