The annual Society for Endocrinology BES conference is taking place in Birmingham, UK from 11-14 April 2011.

Over 1000 of the world's leading endocrinologists will meet to discuss the latest developments in hormone science.  The topic of endocrinology covers all medical and scientific disciplines involving the study of hormones.  This includes diabetes, obesity, drugs in sport, osteoporosis, endocrine disruptors, fertility and reproduction and pituitary and thyroid disease.

We have a total of 9 plenary lectures, 9 symposia, 7 meet the expert sessions, 4 clinical management workshops and 5 oral communications sessions covering the most recent advances in endocrine research and patient care.  Symposia will cover a wide range of topics including performance enhancing substances in sport and their detection, endocrine problems in pregnancy and the endocrine regulation of ageing to name but a few.
