The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation announced it will provide states with assistance to implement federal health reform provisions that work toward expanding access to the uninsured. Starting with 10 states, the foundation will provide technical assistance to help set up insurance exchanges, make insurance market changes, expand Medicaid and streamline eligibility and enrollment in programs. Heather Howard, former New Jersey commissioner of Health and Senior Services, is leading this initiative (Vesley, 5/7).

States working on the tough task of implementation of the health care law would receive help with technical assistance, consumer outreach, online networking and more through a plan announced Friday by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
