Humana to lead community well-being initiatives in La Quinta, Calif

Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), one of the nation's leading health care companies, will lead numerous community well-being initiatives in La Quinta, Calif. surrounding the inaugural Humana Challenge golf tournament. The Humana Challenge PGA TOUR event, in partnership with the William J. Clinton Foundation, will feature lifelong well-being as its theme, challenging players, spectators and the general public to improve their health by making positive changes in diet, exercise and lifestyle.

During the week leading up to the tournament, activities will include a multi-generational playground build in Thermal at the San Felipe Oasis; a five-mile Humana Well-Being Walk along Bear Creek Trail; a Humana Healthy Fun Fair; and a sponsored Humana Day at Certified Farmers' Market in Old Town La Quinta.
