NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Promega announces the beta launch of the online gene exploration tool Find My Gene. Find My Gene integrates a number of robust functionalities to help researchers better understand their gene's function such as:

Search for genes by blasting DNA, RNA, or amino acid sequences.

  • Learn detailed information about a gene of interest.
  • Explore literature-validated protein interactions.
  • Find relevant products specific to a gene of interest.

Promega is looking for testers to experiment with the Find My Gene search tool, and provide feedback on how the tool can be improved.

To complement Find My Gene, Promega offers expression-validated ORF clones to help researchers study their gene(s) of interest. "We're trying to save scientists' time by providing the validation upfront," explains Marjeta Urh, Director of Research at Promega. Promega has been in partnership with Kazusa DNA Research Institute to provide expression-validated ORF clones directly to the research community.
