"Funding by the United States for family planning has a giant positive impact," PSI's "Impact" blog writes, adding, "With the White House releasing its budget request for fiscal year 2014 and the budget debates heating up, now seems like a good time to look at what investments in reproductive health enables." The blog states that according to the Guttmacher Institute, $610 million was appropriated to family planning and reproductive health services in the FY 2012 budget. The blog then examines the services that money could provide and how many fewer women and families would benefit if the expenditures were reduced (4/15).
