New diagnostic products from Avantor™ Performance Materials featured at MEDICA 2013

Avantor™ Performance Materials will display its capabilities as a trusted collaborator and provider of high-quality diagnostic solutions at MEDICA 2013, November 20-23 at the Dusseldorf Fairgrounds in Germany.

Located in booth 3A89, Avantor’s “Performance Diagnostics” exhibit will include product highlights from the company’s two established diagnostics brands: world-class J.T.Baker® brand clinical reagents for hematology and histology applications, and proven and affordable BeneSphera™ brand diagnostics reagents and instrumentation for immunology, clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology and life science needs.

The company is unveiling several new instruments and reagents for in-vitro diagnostics:

• BeneSphera™ brand 3-Part Differential Veterinary Hematology Analyzer, with seven predetermined animal settings plus four user-defined animal settings
• BeneSphera™ brand 5-Part Differential Hematology Analyzer, with 23 whole blood parameters and a throughput of 120 samples per hour for faster diagnostics
• J.T.Baker^® brand Solvent-Based Mounting Medium, a faster drying cover slipper for stained histology slides
• J.T.Baker^® brand UltraClear™ clearing agent and UltraKitt™ mounting media, the next generation of xylene-free clearing agent and mounting media products for the laboratory environment
• Customized packaging for histology and cytology staining solutions for easier handling and less waste and risk of transport damage.

In addition, Avantor will showcase a wide variety of other diagnostic products, including rapid card tests, clinical chemistry reagents, immunology instruments and reagents, a malaria detection system, and histology and cytology reagents.
