CMS awards Medicare claims administration contract to First Coast

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded First Coast Service Options (First Coast) the A/B Medicare Administrative Contractor contract for Jurisdiction N (JN), formerly Jurisdiction 9, which includes Florida, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.

This Medicare claims administration contract is anticipated to be operational in July 2014, and it will be serviced out of First Coast's Jacksonville headquarters and satellite offices in Miami, Orlando and Tampa, Fla.

"This award is a true reflection of First Coast's outstanding performance results and a lot of hard work by many, many dedicated employees," CEO Sandy Coston said. "This award shows CMS' confidence in our ability to effectively deliver Medicare benefit administration services."
