Health New England to expand service network in Worcester County

Health New England (HNE), a nonprofit health insurance carrier based in Western Massachusetts, will expand its service network to include all of Worcester County as of July 1, 2014.

"HNE is excited to offer employers in Worcester County a provider-owned health plan with innovative products, an integrated approach to care management and direct access to the local provider's members want to see," states Jody Gross, Vice President of Sales for Health New England.

Health New England currently offers health insurance solutions in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, and western Worcester counties. The service area expansion will cover all of Worcester County and includes seven in-plan hospitals and over 2200 providers. Member benefits include no referrals, a wellness portal powered by WebMD, community focused care and personal and dependable service. Employers may select from fully funded or self funded plans.
