Helix Healthcare Group offers individualized treatment for substance abuse, addiction, mental health issues

Helix Healthcare Group is the first integrated facility in Canada to offer a highly individualized approach in the treatment of substance abuse, addiction and mental health issues. With their main program, Spectrum Recovery, they built an innovative outpatient treatment model to connect the mind and body, address the root causes of addiction and create lasting change. Spectrum Recovery stands out from traditional methods of treating addiction, offering more one-on-one and less group sessions than any other program in Canada. The state-of-the-art centre opens in Toronto's Yorkville district on June 24 and media are invited to see the space and learn more about their cutting-edge therapies and wellness techniques on June 24 and June 25.

The private facility was founded by Canadian entrepreneur Mark Rivkin, alongside Clinical Director Jesse Hanson, who was formerly a lead therapist at Passages Malibu Treatment Center in California. Together they created a unique program that supports clients not only on the path of recovery – but rediscovery – so they can recreate their life with confidence. Their growing team of 50 professionals includes more than ten types of practitioners, ranging from medical physicians, naturopathic doctors and addiction counsellors to psychotherapists, life coaches and mind-body therapists. Spectrum Recovery specializes in every area of addiction, from substance abuse, prescription drug misuse and gambling to food addiction, wealth/power addiction and other destructive behaviours.

"We offer a comprehensive approach that is based on neuroscience and delivered with compassion. At Spectrum Recovery we believe it's possible to rewire the brain, re-write old destructive patterns and create lasting change," says Jesse Hanson, Clinical Director.

Spectrum Recovery offers four distinct programs to suit every stage of the recovery process including: Intensive, Moderate, Light and Maintenance. With more than 20 types of treatments to choose from, personalized programs may include: detox assistance, somatic psychotherapy, addiction counselling, life coaching, naturopathic medicine, hypnotherapy, sound therapy, yoga, tai chi and more. Flexible scheduling, lower costs and less time away from home and work are among the centre's many benefits. The Intensive program provides an alternative to traditional residential treatment by providing 25 hours a week of therapeutic interventions – with over 50 percent of the sessions offered in a one-on-one format.

"We want people to know that they don't have to go away to get treatment for their addiction issues. We enable clients to receive comprehensive, world-class care without having to pick up and leave their home for a month or more." says Mark Rivkin, CEO and Founder of the Helix Healthcare Group.
