Sample Preparation for LC/MS

Porvair Sciences offer a range of sample evaporators and microplate products optimized for use in conjunction with LC/MS and LC/MS/MS instrumentation.


To facilitate better analysis of very dilute samples by LC/MS, Porvair Sciences nitrogen blowdown evaporators can assist by evaporating solvent to increase concentration thereby increasing sensitivity.

In applications where serum or plasma samples have been de-proteinated using a protein precipitation microplate, such as the Porvair P3 plate, the sample is typically left in acetonitrile. Porvair evaporators provide a quick and easy-to-use method of removing the acetonitrile before reconstituting the dried sample in a solvent system more suitable for LC/MS.
