School systems throughout the nation have a strong ally in mitigating a resurgence of swine flu this fall. UNOTRON (www.unotron.com), worldwide creator of medical grade, washable computer keyboards, scroll wheel mice, and smartcard readers, announces that it is teaming up with GHA Technologies, Inc. (www.gha-associates.com) to offer Unotron’s high quality, washable data input and security devices. GHA is a nationally expanding network, computer reseller and systems integrator.

"This collaboration is an important step toward getting Unotron’s technology into schools where keyboards are often shared by students and faculty,” says Joseph Carabello, CEO of Unotron.

Unotron’s keyboards are completely sealed and do not trap infectious germs and bacteria in drain holes. They can be sprayed with household and hospital grade disinfectants without corroding or compromising usability, which is an important feature because bleach remains the only reliable substance that effectively kills lethal germs.

“The Unotron GHA initiative comes at a time when the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns of the return of H1N1, which spreads from person to person and from touching surfaces or objects,” continues Carabello. “Because a vaccine is not currently available, prevention is the most important weapon against the virus.”

According to George Hertzberg, president of GHA, “Given the potential for Unotron products to mitigate the spread of infectious disease this relationship is clearly in the public service and comes at a critical time. Our mission involves getting these important products into a wide realm of healthcare, education, commercial, and government environments. We expect to boost distribution through a variety of marketing activities to reach as many organizations as possible.”
