Kimball Electronics’ focus on growth of medical business to strengthen with the addition of two new members

Kimball Electronics Group, a subsidiary of Kimball International, Inc., (NASDAQ: KBALB) has added Katie Eggert and Anita Conlin to the Business Development Team focused on growth of the Company’s medical sector. Kimball Electronics Group is a global Top-Twenty contract electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company that specializes in durable electronics with applications in the medical, automotive, industrial controls, and public safety industries.

As experienced EMS veterans, Eggert’s and Conlin’s addition to the business development team strengthens Kimball Electronics’ focus on growth of medical business, the Company’s largest market sector. Eggert will initiate and build relationships with potential new customers on a worldwide basis, utilizing the mix of capabilities and resources available within the Kimball Electronics Group portfolio of services, while Conlin will work to develop and grow opportunities with current strategic customers.

Kimball Electronics Group currently manufactures medical equipment at its ISO 13485-certified and FDA compliant plants in the USA, Thailand and Wales (UK). A new, larger facility has just completed construction in Poland which will also be ISO 13485-certified and FDA compliant and will house a dedicated center of excellence for medical equipment production. According to MMI’s recent ranking of Global EMS Companies, Kimball Electronics Group, headquartered in Jasper, Indiana, is currently ranked fourth globally in the field of medical diagnostic equipment.

In their roles, Eggert and Conlin will report to Greg Bannick, Director of Medical Industry Solutions, Kimball Electronics Group. Said Bannick, “Katie and Anita bring a wealth of experience and expertise in working with medical device companies on both a North American and global scale.”

Eggert, has over 20 years of experience in the medical equipment sector, including global experience encompassing Central Europe, South East Asia and China. She joins Kimball from a globally Top-Ten ranked EMS company, where she managed business development and sold electronic contract manufacturing services to a number of international Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller, regional organizations. Earlier in her career, she spent several years in the plastics industry, with a special emphasis on the medical market, supporting customers with solutions in thermoplastic resins, polymers and injection molded parts. Eggert has held positions of increasing responsibility and scope, rising from sales engineer, to account development, account manager, and business development manager. Throughout her career, Eggert has proven successful in developing strong, sustainable customer relationships as a solution-focused strategic partner. Eggert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.

Conlin has 18 years of electronics industry experience, as Global Program Manager and Account Manager for strategic accounts primarily in the medical and telecommunication sectors. She also joins Kimball from another global Top-Ten EMS company, where she was responsible for driving growth in the EMS medical sector and managed accounts with over $100 million in revenue. Conlin is experienced in global project management to align with customer expectations, providing oversight of supply chains as well as program and product transfer to low cost geographies, including Mexico, Singapore and China. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Studies from Southern New Hampshire University in Salem, with a concentration in Business Administration. She also completed a Management Development certificate program from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Southborough, Massachusetts.
