Axolotl's annual customer conference to examine current and emerging industry opportunities

Axolotl Corp., the nationwide leader in health information exchange (HIE) solutions and related services, will be holding its annual customer conference themed —“It's About Illumination” September 9-11, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada. Now in its eighth year, the conference has evolved into the premier HIE event by providing unmatched learning and networking opportunities for invited Health Information Leaders.

“With the current government focus on Health IT, Axolotl’s customer conference will offer the opportunity to examine current and emerging industry opportunities, by sharing insightful ideas and best practices across Axolotl’s HIE customer community,” said Ray Scott, Axolotl’s CEO. “We look forward to bringing our customers and industry experts together during these exciting times.”

Kenneth E. Thorpe, Ph.D, Chair of Health Policy at Emory University and Executive Director of the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD) shared, “Axolotl has vast experience in connecting HIEs. I am honored to be a part of this event and to have the opportunity to meet with leaders of many of the most successful HIEs in the country. The conference topics, including the potential cost savings HIEs create in the management of chronic diseases, are vital to the overall health care reform discussion.”
