NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Internal Medicine Physician Rahul Deepankar, M.D. and Pediatrician Jane Kapral, M.D. are the two newest team members to join the Riverside Medical Center - West Campus in Coal City.

After receiving his medical degree from Meerut University, Dr. Deepankar interned at SVBP Hospital and completed his residency at Chicago's Grant Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the American Society of Internal Medicine and the Illinois Society of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Deepankar and other doctors practicing internal medicine are commonly called "internists" in North America and represent a critical area of care, including proper diagnosis, management and nonsurgical care of atypical or severe diseases.

Dr. Deepankar brings a holistic philosophy of care to the Coal City Hospital, focusing on both physical and emotional needs, educating prevention and offering exceptional care to individuals. His greatest reward is the full recovery of each patient he treats.

In addition to Dr. Deepankar, Jane Kapral, M.D. also joined the West Campus medical staff, specializing in Pediatrics. Dr. Kapral provides medical care to infants, children and adolescents and understands the maturational differences between children and adults.

Dr. Kapral received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and completed her residency at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Along with meeting the full-range of pediatric patient needs, Dr. Kapral's philosophy of care encompasses teaming up with parents to improve the child's health and quality of life. She brings to the Coal City Illinois Hospital a special interest in helping parents find ways to treat children facing some especially challenging issues including ADD, obesity and developmental or behavioral issues. It is no wonder that the Greek cognates of the word pediatrics translate to healer of children.

The collective knowledge of Dr. Kapral and Dr. Deepankar is an asset to the Coal City Illinois healthcare system. Both doctors are currently accepting new patients at Riverside Medical Center - West Campus in Coal City, 5775 East State Highway 113.
