Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children to benefit from marathon event

The Dallas White Rock Marathon today announced that MetroPCS Communications, Inc., the nation's leading provider of unlimited, flat-rate, no signed contract wireless communications service, will be the title sponsor of this year’s marathon. The event will now be called the MetroPCS Dallas White Rock Marathon presented by NexBank.

“We’re extremely excited about our association with such a great company like MetroPCS,” said Phil Baker, chairman of the Dallas White Rock Marathon board of directors. “Having their support is an enormous opportunity for our race and our beneficiary, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.”

MetroPCS offers a diverse selection of service plans, which allow customers to talk 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, and gives them enhanced service options for a wireless experience that best fits their lifestyles. With MetroPCS, customers pay by the month, not by the minute, and services do not require a signed contract, deposit or credit check.

“The Dallas White Rock Marathon and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children are two organizations that we’re proud to be a part of,” said Tracy Lange, vice president and general manager, MetroPCS Dallas. “We’re excited about the opportunity to sponsor one of the nation’s premier running events, while at the same time contributing to a hospital that has helps 15,000 Texas children every year.”
