HealthYes!®, a leading mobile medical screening provider, is offering several new preventive screenings directly focused on heart disease. The new tests include: a six-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), cholesterol finger-stick, and 10-year Framingham Cardiac Risk Score as well as diabetes and liver function testing. HealthYes! is able to provide more testing for nearly the same cost of their current screening packages.

“Our clients requested these crucial tests and HealthYes! once again responded to the market,” said Dale W. Wood, president, HealthYes!

All HealthYes! medical assistants have completed the Cholestech Proficiency Certification Program, in order to administer the new screening tests. HealthYes!’s new tests will be included in a seven screening package, priced at $199.99.

Dr. Vu Nguyen, cardiologist for Texas Cardiovascular Consultants at St. David’s Hospital, worked closely with HealthYes! to develop their six-lead electrocardiogram screening protocol.

“Now we can image the arteries and blood vessels and I think that really adds to the information in terms of telling people how at risk they are for heart attacks and strokes,” said Dr. Nguyen.

Legacy health screenings still offered by HealthYes! include: Stroke/Carotid Artery Disease Screening, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA), Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), Arterial Stiffness Index (ASI), and Osteoporosis.

The new screening services being offered by HealthYes! include:

  • Electrocardiogram- Identify and assess the electrical activity and “Rhythm” of your heart, as well as your risk for silent heart attack, atrial fibrillation, and ischemia by employing.
  • Framingham Risk Score- Identify and assess the risk of a major cardiac episode in the next 10-year timeframe by looking at risk factors including age, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, hypertension, diabetes and cigarette smoking.
  • Lipid Panel- Identify and assess risk for heart disease and diabetes by collecting small blood samples for analysis. Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and Glucose are calculated.
  • Liver Function- Identify and assess abnormal liver function by collecting a small sample of blood for analysis. ALT and AST are enzymes located in liver cells that leak out into the general circulation when the liver cells are injured.
