BG Medicine files registration statement with SEC for proposed initial public offering of common stock

BG Medicine, Inc. today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range of the offering have not yet been determined.

Jefferies & Company and UBS Investment Bank will act as the joint bookrunning managers for the offering. Cowen and Company and Thomas Weisel Partners LLC will act as co-managers for the offering. This offering will be made only by means of a prospectus.
