Alpha Systems, a premier provider of electronic data and document management solutions, today announced that Butler Health System (Butler), an innovative healthcare provider located in Pennsylvania, has named Alpha Systems their vendor of choice for enterprise electronic document management (EDM) software. This move is designed to improve Butler’s communication across the enterprise while moving the healthcare provider closer to a paperless environment.

“We look forward to providing the technology and services to give Butler’s clinicians and administrative staff quick and secure access to critical health information.”

Butler has agreed to take delivery of Alpha ImageWorks 9000, a systemwide solution for EDM that includes patient registration; patients’ medical and business office records; electronic signature, which allows the electronic completion of charts and integration with Butler’s clinical system; and quick, secure access to medical records by authorized clinicians throughout Butler Health System.

Chuck Oleson, Chief Information Officer of Butler Health System, commented, “We are pleased with Alpha Systems’ willingness to work with us to meet our document management needs. In addition to the operational efficiencies that will be enabled, Alpha Systems’ solution will be used to provide patients with an electronic copy of their health information, as required to satisfy Stage 1 of the ARRA Meaningful Use incentives.”

“We are pleased that Butler Health System has selected Alpha Systems to help them execute their paperless strategy,” commented Brett Griffith, president of Alpha Systems. “We look forward to providing the technology and services to give Butler’s clinicians and administrative staff quick and secure access to critical health information.”
