Quantros, a leading healthcare software and services provider of data management, decision support analytics, and clinical business intelligence solutions, today announced its support for National Patient Safety Week with a video about Quantros' Clinical Cafe, a new online networking community for healthcare professionals working in patient safety, quality of care and regulatory compliance. Designed to bring together healthcare professionals from around the world, Clinical Cafe www.clinicalcafe.com is a free, membership-based interactive site.

The National Patient Safety Foundation's theme for the weeklong effort to raise awareness about patient safety is "Let's Talk: Healthy Conversations for Safer Healthcare." According to Chris Bethell, Vice President of Marketing for Quantros, "Connectivity is the key and Quantros offers a number of vehicles for healthcare professionals to communicate about quality, safety and compliance and access best practice content. Clinical Cafe was created to help healthcare professionals connect, share, learn and inform."

To celebrate the week, Clinical Cafe is also holding drawings for five Clinical Cafe members to win copies of Dr. Peter Pronovost's new book, SAFE PATIENTS, SMART HOSPITALS: How One Doctor's Checklist Can Help Us Change Health Care from the Inside Out. Pronovost, a professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, is widely recognized for creating a simple checklist of basic steps that has helped hospital clinicians dramatically reduce many kinds of infections.
