Five Star Quality Care added to Russell 3000 Index

Five Star Quality Care, Inc. (NYSE Amex: FVE) today announced that it has been added to the broad market Russell 3000^®Index following Russell Investments' reconstitution of its comprehensive set of U.S. and global equity indexes on June 25, 2010. The Russell 3000 Index also serves as the U.S. component to the Russell Global Index.

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. The Russell indices currently have approximately $3.9 trillion in assets benchmarked to them.
