Gulf Coast Medical Center to implement ProVation MD for GI procedure documentation and coding

Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that Gulf Coast Medical Center has selected its ProVation® MD software for gastroenterology procedure documentation and coding.

ProVation MD, available for the full range of ASC specialties, replaces dictation and transcription and allows physicians to efficiently document procedures at the point of care. ProVation software produces complete, coding-ready and image-enhanced procedure notes that result in greater efficiency, increased profitability and clinician satisfaction.

Located in Panama City, Fla., Gulf Coast Medical Center is a 176-bed regional referral center that is home to the region's only Level II neonatal intensive care unit. The facility's more than 300 physicians represent more than 30 specialties and subspecialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, emergency medicine, pediatrics, gastroenterology, plastic surgery and neurosurgery. Gulf Coast Medical is Joint Commission certified and nationally ranked for quality and patient safety.
