Giant Eagle installs RxSafe 1800 pharmacy workflow automation system

RxSafe, LLC, the leader in automated high density robotic storage and retrieval systems for pharmacies, has recently installed an RxSafe 1800™ system at a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area supermarket for Giant Eagle, Inc., a leading regional multi-format food retailer.

The RxSafe system is a comprehensive pharmacy workflow automation system for prescription medication in native packaging. The system allows pharmacies to accurately fill and track prescriptions, manage inventory, eliminate theft and diversion and avoid expired product. The easily customizable RxSafe system stores and automates up to 5,400 native prescription containers in less than 40 square feet of space and realizes a peak capacity of up to 500 scripts per hour in multi-operator mode.
