Kaplan EduNeering, a leading provider of compliance and knowledge management solutions, announces today the opening of a Hong Kong office to serve clients based in Asia. The new location, which will house sales and support staff, is based in the Hong Kong offices of its parent company, Kaplan, Inc. In 2008, Kaplan EduNeering opened a European-based location in Reading, England.

“The new office in Asia reinforces our commitment to clients in many industries throughout the region”

"With the on-going harmonization of global safety standards across many industries, Kaplan EduNeering's global content and award-winning learning platform has seen significant client usage across Asia," said Lisa Clune, President of Kaplan EduNeering. "Our Hong Kong headquarters will help our existing clients navigate the complex regulatory challenges in Asia, while also cultivating new relationships."

Clune has appointed Ryan Carpentier, Chief Operating Officer, as Managing Director of the new Asia office. "The new office in Asia reinforces our commitment to clients in many industries throughout the region," Carpentier said. "For example, there has been a heightened global regulatory enforcement for our life-sciences clients. Kaplan EduNeering and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expanded their Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) last year, which includes use of our learning technology and content to address regulatory challenges in Asia. This new office will help support the efforts of China's regulatory organizations to enforce the safety standards for FDA-regulated products."

For many global companies, the Kaplan EduNeering Platform serves as the single, enterprise-wide platform for learning, enabling employees, contractors, and vendors around the world to gain qualifications related to their roles. The Kaplan EduNeering Platform leverages Software as a Service (SaaS) technology and is designed to support a global workforce. For example, the platform can automatically set a learner's interface to a preferred language setting, and supports up to 27 options, including Mandarin Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, and Thai. In addition, 120 of the company's 550 online courses developed by Kaplan EduNeering are available in multiple languages, and dozens of custom courses have been translated into a specific language.
