New book to prevent childhood obesity

Today, childhood obesity contributes to a number of potential health risks. Written in an easy to read format, with lively, colorful characters, 'In Moderation' is a children's book that provides simple advice that can significantly reduce over consumption and prevent childhood obesity. Publisher Lessons for Children, LLC has also partnered with the USDA's MyPyramid to improve family nutrition, end childhood obesity and promote the Dietary Guidelines for Americans through the Food Pyramid. By working together, immediate changes can be made where family members work, live, and play, which can have lasting impact on child and family health.

It is difficult for adults, let alone children, to resist treats. Fortunately, one of the keys to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is not avoidance, but moderation.
