“Merge's cardiology solutions provide complete functionality with imaging, reporting and EKG while integrating with all of our modality devices. We need that type of workflow innovation to help our cardiologists and entire cardiology department operate at maximum efficiency.”

"As we were building our new facility, we wanted to make sure we had a state-of-the-art cardiovascular information system to treat patients and attract physicians," said Charles Colander, Vice President and Chief Information Officer. "Merge's cardiology solutions provide complete functionality with imaging, reporting and EKG while integrating with all of our modality devices. We need that type of workflow innovation to help our cardiologists and entire cardiology department operate at maximum efficiency."

Merge will demonstrate these solutions along with new interoperability capabilities at the upcoming American College of Cardiology's ACC.11 Annual Scientific Session and Expo, April 3-5, 2011, in New Orleans. In booth #1155, attendees will be able to see demonstrations of Merge Cardio, formerly VERICIS, and Merge Hemo, formerly Merge Hemodynamics. Merge Hemo is a comprehensive knowledge tool for the cardiac cath lab that integrates data collection, waveform analysis, inventory control, patient charging, and procedure reporting.

In addition to cardiology solutions, Merge will showcase iConnect™, an integrated software suite that facilitates the sharing of diagnostic content and results across the continuum of care. "Merge is committed to bringing superior imaging interoperability to the market," said Jeff Surges, Merge's Chief Executive Officer. "Healthcare records are not meaningful without a complete view of the patient and history. You can't achieve that without incorporating images." iConnect Access is a zero-download viewer that provides diagnostic quality image review for referring physicians, while iConnect Kiosk automates the front office for more efficient workflow.
