The Canadian Medical Association's sixth and last public town hall event on transforming the health care system to better focus on patients will be held in Ottawa on June 7, 2011. This forum is part of the CMA's national dialogue on health care, which has provided Canadians with the opportunity to express their views on the future of their health care system.

The national dialogue was launched last December and includes a website -  www.healthcaretransformation.ca - which Canadians have also used as a platform to air their views. The first public town hall was held in Halifax in January, followed by similar events in Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver and La Prairie, Que.

This event is organized in conjunction with Maclean's magazine (www.macleans.ca/healthseries) and the Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC) as a broadcast partner.
