In a post in Forbes's "Mitch2Maya/Mothers2Mothers" blog, contributors Mitch Besser and Maya Kulycky write that the Group of 20 (G20) "have plenty to discuss at their upcoming November meeting -- and a lot of it is pretty scary." They raise the issues of the global economy and its impact on public health, specifically maternal and newborn health, writing, "The G20 ... can turn their attention to maternal and child health, helping the world to be a more productive and less scary place." They conclude, "We have a chance if we can reach the ground with meaningful interventions that translate what is possible into what is actual" (10/30).
