In Georgia, the state GOP leaders and the governor have agreed not to push an exchange bill. Meanwhile, in Oregon, consumer groups have offered a list of priorities to the organization responsible for developing its exchange.
Georgia Health News: State Won't Act On Health Insurance Exchange
Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford), chairman of the [Georgia General Assembly] Senate Health and Human Services Committee, said the Republican legislative leadership and Gov. Nathan Deal have agreed not to push an insurance exchange bill. ... That decision comes despite the recommendation of an advisory committee, appointed by Deal, that the state move forward on creating an exchange for small businesses (Miller, 1/12).

The Lund Report: Consumer Groups Begin Showing Support for Insurance Exchange
Leaders of some of Oregon's most progressive consumer groups signed onto a letter this week advocating for six priorities the staff and board of directors of Oregon's health insurance exchange should have this year as they work to create the exchange. ... For organizations such as AARP Oregon, this represents an about face from what occurred last year when Senate Bill 99, which created the exchange, worked its way through the (Waldroupe, 1/12).
