PlanSource completes SOC 2 audit and report process for HR administration platforms

PlanSource Holdings, Inc., a cloud-based HR and healthcare SaaS technology company, has announced that it has completed the SOC 2 (Service Organization Controls 2) audit and report process covering areas of security, confidentiality, processing integrity, and availability for its HR management and benefits administration platforms. The SOC 2 audit, created by the AICPA (American Institute of CPAs) to compare data center service providers against an objective standard and replace the older SAS 70 certification, represents the highest standard for data center reporting available from the AICPA.

The SOC 2 audit and report are intended for companies that need information and assurance about the controls at a data center and/or service organization relevant to the security, availability, and the privacy of the information processed by these systems.

"Completion of the SOC 2 process reaffirms our commitment to our customers and to the security and protection of their healthcare data," said Scott Carver, President of PlanSource. "The PlanSource platform was built for healthcare industry and is both HIPAA- and HITECH-compliant. We take our responsibility to safeguard sensitive data seriously and leverage the very best in technology to provide our carrier and broker partners, our employer customers, and individual employees with a protected, online system that makes benefits enrollment and administration easy, powerful – and above all, secure."
