NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Today at RSNA 2012, GE Healthcare (NYSE: GE) is introducing the new LOGIQ E9 with XDclear, a new general imaging ultrasound system. Built from the acclaimed LOGIQ E9 platform, new features on the company's premium product allow for increased penetration on large patients, improved clarity and diagnostic confidence.

"Because ultrasound imaging is one of the pillars for disease assessment and determining treatment options - image quality, clinical capability and procedure accuracy are paramount. Advancements in the new LOGIQ E9 with XDclear platform build upon what customers have come to expect from GE Ultrasound. We've added innovative capabilities to help address the ultrasound exam volume and imaging challenges that clinicians face every day," said Brian McEathron, General Manager of General Imaging Ultrasound for GE Healthcare.

Enhanced Image Quality

Because of advances in acoustic engineering used in new XDclear transducer technology, users of the new C1-6 and C2-9 transducers experience increased penetration of 2-4 cm while simultaneously experiencing high definition resolution throughout the image.

On the new LOGIQ E9 with XDclear, the company has also added its innovative B-Flow imaging capability.

This GE imaging mode uses non-Doppler technology to display true hemodynamics and enables direct visualization of blood flow without the limitations of Doppler.

Enhanced workflow

In addition to a larger, adjustable monitor, a faster computer and enhanced ergonomics, GE Healthcare has added features including Compare Assistant plus Breast and Thyroid Productivity Packages to help improve overall workflow. Compare Assistant helps streamline comparison exams while the Productivity Packages help ease the burden of measurement-heavy studies.

Volume Navigation

The LOGIQ E9 with XDclear includes an expansion of Volume Navigation capabilities with new tools and accessories such as automatic CT registration.
