Having experienced a death of a child in his family due to leukemia, Warren Sulmasy made a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in February 2013.

"A child should never have to battle for their life when they haven't yet begun to live," said Sulmasy.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was founded by Danny Thomas to ensure that no child is ever denied treatment because of financial reasons or based on race or religion. They hospital fights every day to find advances in cures and prevention for catastrophic childhood diseases.

"It is just amazing the advances in research, treatment and prevention that this organization has discovered over the years," said Sulmasy. "I'd like to think that if these medical advancements had been around in 1973, my cousin would have survived his battle."

Not only is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital dedicated to giving every child the best care possible, they are there to inform the families so they can make the best possible decisions for their child.

The hospital empowers and supports families so they can become active participants in the immediate and long term care of their child.
