Apixio, Dell collaborate to develop business intelligence applications for healthcare clients

Apixio Inc., the leading provider of Big Data analytic and clinical data integration for healthcare, and Dell are collaborating to offer solutions that enable healthcare systems to improve performance management and reporting.

Apixio's platform for rapid development and deployment of analytic applications uses optical character recognition technology, machine learning and Hadoop-based high-scale computing to derive insights from diverse sources of clinical and administrative data, including textual and scanned documents. Dell plans to host Apixio's big data stack in its data center so that Dell's clients can reap the benefits with minimal change to their IT infrastructure and data governance.
