Evive Health announced today the release of Evive Evolution 2.0, a software delivery platform to support its personalized messaging products targeted at large employers, health plans and provider systems. The software uses Apache Cassandra database and Spring Web MVC framework that will expand Evive Health's customization capabilities, increase scalability and allow for real time data integration into mobile applications and web portals.

The new software is Evive Health's latest effort in continuing to deliver a uniquely customized experience for every end user.

"This new platform fulfills on our promise of building a campaign specifically targeted for each one of our consumers," said Peter Saravis, Evive Health CEO. "By using a similar backend that Amazon uses to know what products you are most interested in, we can determine the most effective behavioral economics tactics that will engage someone to act on important healthcare decisions."

Keval Desai, Evive Health Vice President of Technology Solutions, said he decided to utilize Apache Cassandra because of its proven capabilities in powering companies with large, active data sets such as Facebook, Netflix and Twitter.

Evive plans to build further enhancements to the software, including the integration of Apache Hadoop and machine learning capabilities, to be released in the second quarter of 2014.

"The combination of Cassandra and Hadoop is a perfect fit for handling ever changing and multi-structured disparate data sets in our healthcare space," said Desai.
