TeamHealth announces merger with Salutis Emergency Specialists operations

TeamHealth Holdings (NYSE: TMH), one of the nation's largest providers of outsourced physician staffing solutions for hospitals, announced a merger with the operations of Salutis Emergency Specialists, PLLC. Based in Martinsburg, W. Va., Salutis Emergency Specialists manages and staffs the hospital emergency department for University Healthcare, Berkeley Medical Center (formerly City Hospital), which provides emergency care for approximately 54,000 patients annually. TeamHealth began providing services for the hospital's emergency department on March 1, 2014.

"Our partnership with TeamHealth will allow us to continue providing great care while gaining the necessary infrastructure and support to withstand extraordinary changes to our nation's healthcare system."
