At the British Dental Conference and Exhibition, Oral-B introduced three of its latest advancements to dental professionals: TEST DRIVE power brush trial programme, CROSS ACTION® brush head and SmartSeries™ electric toothbrush with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

At the conference, more than 1,850 dental professionals experienced Oral-B's new TEST DRIVE power brush trial programme. Multiple users can now experience Oral-B power and toothpaste using a shared handle in a hygienic way with specialized handles and refills featuring a Triple-Protection-System:

  • A sealing insert within the specialized refill head works with the specialized handle to help prevent saliva from entering the handle;
  • A specially designed protective covering works in combination with the sealing system to help provide extra protection against soiling of the handle;
  • The cleaning and disinfection procedure, in line with international standards, ensures a hygienic next use.

Furthermore, Oral-B showcased the new CROSS ACTION head - its most advanced power head with perfectly angled bristles for a superior clean - and its new SmartSeries electric toothbrush - the world's first interactive electric toothbrush with Bluetooth connectivity that helps to create more personalized brushing routines.

"These launches will undoubtedly change the way my patients brush their teeth. Their oral hygiene will improve, which will mean that their treatment is much more likely to be successful. Without good oral care all restorative and aesthetic treatments will flounder," said Dr. Amit Patel, specialist in periodontics and implant dentist.

TEST DRIVE will be available in-practice to a limited number of dental professionals for patient trials from July 2014. To learn more please get in touch with your Oral-B representative.
